Now I don’t want to freak anyone out, but y’all know it’s only three weeks until xmas, right? I didn’t, I thought I had four more weeks. We are hosting xmas dinner at our house this year, and I find the best way to cope is to approach everything as a military operation. So I am working on my lists and menus and feel that everything is pretty much under control. Thus far.
Mind you, all I’ve really done since compiling the lists is to post out my cards, and there were only six of them so perhaps congratulations are not yet in order. Each of the envelopes needed four different stickers/stamps stuck to them and my lord, the man at the post office was so slow! I was itching to take them away from him and do it myself.
And then I had my ears syringed which I’ve been avoiding for a few weeks (no real reason, just procrastination practice). Because our medical centre is so ghetto there’s often a few people in the procedure rooms, so some guy got an up-close-and-personal view of my ear wax while I would have watched him have blood drawn if I hadn’t had my eyes firmly shut. I don’t even watch my own blood draws!
My goal for the rest of the month is not to have any more dental, medical or piercing procedures, so we’ll see how that goes.
Look at the lovely glasses that Ke gave me:
(not pictured: the wine, chocolates and other goodies she gave me!)
The glasses are not only gorgeous but they’re quite heavy, with a really wide base. This is particularly good for me as sometimes I find my glasses get a bit tip-py. Nothing to do with the wine consumption, of course.
